What is Trim Healthy Mama?

This is a lifestyle plan that allows you to enjoy a variety of whole foods from all the food groups, that consists of eating protein with healthy carbs or with healthy fats, which allows most people to be able to lose excess weight.  A way you can enjoy eating for a lifetime and love it!

Trim Healthy Mama Lifestyle Plan

1.  To help balance and stabilize your blood sugar you will need to replace sugar with on-plan sweeteners and replace white flour with on-plan flours.  You can then enjoy a wide variety of new favorite, delicious meals and treats.

2.   You can have plenty of non-starchy vegetables with each meal along with protein and either healthy carbs or healthy fats for the best opportunity to lose excess weight.  At times you can have carbs & fats together.

3.  You need to eat enough to last for 3-4 hours, but if you have to go longer before you are able to eat your next meal, then you can have a snack or small meal.

4.  You will be eating mostly whole foods, not processed foods, for optimal health benefits and nutrition.  You can enjoy amazing meals with flavors you love that are either quick & simple or elaborate & more time consuming; you decide.  You can choose from hundreds of delicious and family friendly recipes or create your own for a variety of choices.

I have been 100% on plan for 11 days! I haven’t ever done that. I have been 80-90% there, but have not been consistently “ON” for this length of time. Simple Meal Ideas

Apple Pie Oatmeal

Breakfast

Apple Pie Oatmeal
1/2 cup Old Fashioned Oats
1/2 cup Unsweetened Almond or Cashew Milk
1/2 cup water
1/2 cup Unsweetened Applesauce
2 tsp Truvia sweetener, or to taste
1/2 tsp Apple Pie Spice
Put all ingredients into a medium sauce pan and cook according to oatmeal directions.

2/3 cup Fat Free Greek Yogurt, sweetened with Truvia
Serve on the side or swirl it into the bowl of oatmeal.
Coffee with Truvia sweetener and up to 1 T. cream

Chicken, Feta & Walnut Salad
Lunch
Chicken, Feta & Walnut Salad
1 1/2 cups chopped Romaine lettuce
Feta cheese crumbles
Walnut halves
5 oz can chicken breast
Dressing of olive oil & balsamic vinegar.
Prepare dressing with equal parts of oil & vinegar.  Assemble salad.
Beef Stir Fry

Beef Stir Fry
8-10 oz. frozen Stir Fry Vegetables
1 T. Coconut oil
4-5 oz. cooked Beef Roast (about a cup)
1 T. Liquid Aminos 
Garlic Salt to taste
Melt coconut oil in medium size skillet.  Add in the frozen vegetables and pan fry to crisp & tender.  Add beef and seasonings while heating thoroughly.
Serve on Cauli-rice, if desired.

Strawberries
85% dark chocolate
Melt chocolate over very low heat.  Dip strawberries in and spoon melted
 
chocolate over strawberries to coat.  Lay onto parchment paper and refrigerate 
until hardened,
